Privacy Policy

Updated February 20, 2026

Sentinel is a macOS menu bar app developed by Lorenzo Matrullo. This privacy policy describes how Sentinel handles your data.

Sentinel does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or usage information. The app operates entirely on your device with no network communication.

System Metrics

Sentinel reads local system metrics (CPU usage, memory usage, and disk usage) solely to display them to you in the menu bar. These readings are processed locally on your Mac and are never transmitted anywhere.

Network Access

Sentinel makes no network requests. The app does not communicate with any servers, APIs, or external services. It works entirely offline.

Analytics & Tracking

Sentinel does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking tools. There are no third-party SDKs embedded in the app.

Accessibility Permissions

The Keyboard Cleaning feature requires macOS Accessibility permissions to temporarily block keyboard input. This permission is used solely for that purpose and no keystroke data is logged, stored, or transmitted.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
